A new UK Prime Minister has been appointed in unusual of circumstances. Many argue there ought to be a General Election but that is to misunderstand the nature of our democracy. The UK is not a presidential democracy, it is a parliamentary democracy which is a very different thing.

God’s Grief
The death of Christ on the Cross is the central act in the Christian faith. Underappreciated, perhaps, is the place of God’s grief represented by it. God grieves not only for His Son, but also for all those who choose to reject the salvation won for them.

A New World Order
The war against Iran demonstrated the change in the world order brought about by President Trump. We already see governments around the world re-arming or upgrading their weapons systems as they absorb the reality of the new order. Holy Week reminds us that God’s way is radically different.
