• This Labour Government Disappoints

    The present government disappointingly appears to only react to populist sentiment. Governments should lead public debate and be prepared to speak openly and honestly about the choices facing the nation. Failure to do this simply leaves a vacuum which prejudice and populism gladly fill.

    A “hostile environment” to immigration was inculcated by the then Home Office Secretary, Theresa May. This seeks to make it as difficult as possible for people to prove they are citizens. There should be no doubt that such a culture is incompatible with biblical vlaues.
